Complete Fall 2010 Results and update on 2011!

We have a great newsletter this month with our full Fall 2010 city championship results and pictures. Playoffs are always fun and Fall season was no exception. We had some especially neat results, such as the mother daughter champsions (in different leagues) Rose Harris & Erin Harris (pictured at right). Rose was our 3.0/Group 2 Business Women's Singles champion and her daughter Erin was our Girl's 14u C+ champion.

And in Los Angeles, we had an especially 'smokin' match between 3.5 Men's Singles players Cabot Richards (Finalist) and Gavin Gobuyan (champ). In fact, the smoke was literally steaming off our players by the end of the match - that is what you call 'heated' competition!! (see below left). LeagueTennis.com is excited to announce the winners of our January, February, & March 2011 Good Sportsmanship Awards, Donna Davidson, Eugene Woo III & Renee Pryor.  Each of these players was nominated by an opponent for exhibiting exceptional good sportsmanship on and off the courts!  We are proud to to have players like these in our league! So what is good sportsmanship?  Well it starts with being easy to schedule, pleasant and polite both on and off the court and in email communications.  Whether winning or losing, a good sport exhibits their best behavior!

We want to stress to all of our players that Good Sportsmanship is critical to the success of our leagues. Treat others as you would have them treat you! And, if you experience a notable case of Good Sportsmanship while participating in our leagues--WE WANT TO KNOW!
