We are launching our junior leagues in Houston this Fall so if your kids play, be sure to sign them up for great competition in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

Please join our friends at Legacy Park on Saturday, November 13, 2010, from 6 pm to 10 pm for a fun night of tennis and fundraising for the American Cancer Society in Honor of Heather Affleck Wild, Donna Regelsky and all those affected by this disease. The First Annual Ace Out Cancer Event will be held at the Legacy Park Community Tennis Center in Kennesaw, Georgia. The event will include great tennis, a silent auction, raffles for a Head racket and a Babolat racket and food and beverages. Entry fee is a $25 donation per player or a $15 donation for non-players for a great cause. Childcare will be available for $10 per child. All levels of tennis are welcome. LeagueTennis.com is excited to announce the winners of our July, August, & September 2010 Good Sportsmanship Awards, Tommy Bryan, Bill Anders, & Teresa Stowell.  Each of these players was nominated by an opponent for exhibiting exceptional good sportsmanship on and off the courts!  We are proud to to have players like these in our league! Each will receive a 1 year subscription to Tennis Life Magazine for being such good sports!

So what is good sportsmanship?  Well it starts with being easy to schedule, pleasant and polite both on and off the court and in email communications.  Whether winning or losing, a good sport exhibits their best behavior!

We want to stress to all of our players that Good Sportsmanship is critical to the success of our leagues. Treat others as you would have them treat you! And, if you experience a notable case of Good Sportsmanship while participating in our leagues--WE WANT TO KNOW!
