What is a flexible tennis league?
LeagueTennis.com provides online flexible tennis leagues. Flexible tennis leagues provide players the convenience of flexible match scheduling:
- Players create a profile then register for upcoming leagues based on their playing level.
- Leagues are 5 to 6 matches of regular season play followed by a single-elimination championship tournament to determine a champion for each playing level.
- Players/Teams choose a home court when registering and are placed in divisions based on their level and location with an attempt to minimize driving distance to away matches for the regular season.
- At the onset of the season, schedules are posted designating opponents and whether the match is home or away. Players/Teams contact their opponents and schedule their matches by a published deadline at a time convenient to all.
- Players/Teams post their scores for each completed match and track their standings during the regular season.
- At the end of the regular season, all division winners and runners-up are automatically qualified for an “opt-in” championship tournament for their level.
- Winners of each division, and the City Champion & Finalist will receive a Bag Tag, and the Adult City Champions at each playing level will receive a $25 gift card and t-shirt & Junior City Champions receive a t-shirt.

How do I register for a league?
To see the leagues available in your area, players must create a profile with LeagueTennis.com. There is no charge for creating a profile! The profile will allow you access to the membership areas of the site and to view open leagues. To create a profile, choose “Register -> New Profile” from the main navigation.
Once a player has created a profile, anytime they login they will be shown any leagues that are open for registration in their area. To register for a specific league, select the league from the list and follow the instructions to complete registration.
If you are registering for a doubles league, your partner must create a profile before you register so you can add them to your team. You will pay for both players when registering.

What if I don’t have a partner and want to play doubles?
If you do not have a partner for doubles, we offer a Find a Partner feature to help players find a partner in their area and at their playing level. Simply go to the Find a Partner page and post your needs or search for other players in need of a partner. Your contact information will NOT be shared unless you decide to respond to an inquiry from another player! We strongly encourage all players who are looking for a partner to post their information so that others will know they are looking!

Where do I play my matches?
Players must choose a home facility when registering for a league. Players can choose courts in their neighborhood, at a public or private facility, or anywhere there is a court that can be reserved for play and that has restroom facilities. All leagues except the Weekday Women’s leagues must choose facilities with lighted courts since some matches typically are played in the evenings.
Players will typically play half of their matches at their home courts and half of their matches at their opponents’ courts. We create divisions based on playing level and location with an attempt to minimize the driving distance to away matches! If you do not have courts, contact us at support@leaguetennis.com to get a listing of public tennis facilities in your area!

How many matches will I play?
We offer 5 to 6 regular season matches. In addition, each league is followed by a single-elimination championship tournament that can result in up to 5 additional matches.
How far will I have to drive for matches?
We create divisions based on playing level and player home facility location. Our goal is to keep driving distances to a minimum. Please keep in mind that as leagues open in new cities, as the number of players grows, the driving distances and number of playing levels will get better and better each season! So be patient if we are just getting started in your city!
